ServiceM8 Pricing in 2026: What It Costs in Canada and the US
Every plan in CAD and USD, what counts as a job, which features push you up a tier, and what you pay on top of the plan.
ServiceM8 costs $0 to $349 a month in 2026, and the plan you need is set by how many new jobs you create each month. Adding people to it doesn't change the price. In Canada the plans are billed in CAD and in the US in USD, and the numbers are identical: $0, $29, $79, $149 and $349.
Every figure below was read off ServiceM8's own Canadian and US pricing pages on 2026-09-29. ServiceM8 changes its plans from time to time, so treat the date as part of the number.
What each ServiceM8 plan costs
Each plan includes a number of new jobs per month. Everything else scales around that number.
- Free, $0 a month: 30 jobs, one user, self-serve support, SMS at 10c each.
- Starter, $29 a month: 50 jobs, unlimited users, free SMS, 24/7 email and chat support.
- Growing, $79 a month: 150 jobs, unlimited users.
- Premium, $149 a month: 500 jobs, unlimited users.
- Premium Plus, $349 a month: 1,500 or more jobs, unlimited users, and extra jobs at 20c each.
The core of the product is on every plan, the Free plan included: scheduling, quoting and invoicing, recurring jobs, booking confirmations and reminders, on-the-way texts, online card payments, the accounting sync with QuickBooks Online and Xero, auto routing and offline access. You pay more for volume and for a short list of features, covered below.
There are no contracts or setup fees on ServiceM8's side. You can move up or down a plan at any time, and credit from the old plan is carried to the new one pro rata.
What counts as a job
ServiceM8 calls them job credits. Every time you create a new job card, it uses one. A job can start life as a Quote or as a Work Order, so a quote you never win spends a credit the same as work you do. When an accepted quote is switched to a Work Order it doesn't use a second one.
Rescheduling, sending the invoice and booking another visit on a job card you already have don't create a new card. Recurring Jobs does: it re-creates the job on its schedule, so each visit it creates is a new job card. If you run maintenance agreements, count every scheduled visit in your monthly number.
Going over isn't a wall. ServiceM8 lets you keep creating jobs and working as normal for another 7 days. If your billing month resets inside that window, the credits reset with it. If it doesn't, you'll be asked to upgrade.
So before you pick a plan, count last month's new quotes plus new work orders plus recurring visits. That total, with some room for your busy season, is your plan.
Which features decide your plan
For most businesses the job count settles it. For some, one feature does. These are the rows that differ between plans on the comparison table:
- Starter and up: API access, Zapier, n8n and third-party add-ons, progress invoicing, and supplier invoice import. If you plan to connect ServiceM8 to anything else, the Free plan is out.
- Growing and up: Proposals, Asset Management, the ServiceM8 Inbox and Bundles. Growing is also the plan you need to build your own electronic forms; any plan can buy ready-made forms from the Form Store.
- Premium and up: Job Profitability, Markup Billing and Knowledge.
ServiceM8's own advice is that upgrading for one feature can be worth it even when you don't need the extra jobs. That holds when the feature pays for itself. Job Profitability on a crew that quotes fixed-price work is the usual example.
What you pay on top of the plan
The plan price isn't the whole bill. Four things sit beside it.
Card processing. The Canadian pricing page lists card payments at 3.30% + 30c on Free, 3.10% + 30c on Starter, 2.85% + 30c on Growing, and 2.69% + 30c on Premium and Premium Plus. On a business taking most of its revenue by card, the rate difference can be worth more than the step up in plan price. The US page doesn't list a rate on the plan cards.
ServiceM8 Phone. The phone system with caller ID, call routing and recording is from $19 a month on every plan.
Office Agent Pro. Starter and higher plans include basic use of Office Agent, ServiceM8's AI office assistant. The Pro tier, which raises the usage limit and adds scheduled tasks, is billed separately; the in-app plan screen showed it at $39 a month in September 2026.
Third-party add-ons. Developer partners build add-ons that plug into ServiceM8, some free and some paid, and the developer sets the price.
Text messages are listed as free on every paid plan and 10c each on Free.
What a real month looks like
Three businesses, priced off the numbers above.
A solo operator running 25 jobs a month can sit on the Free plan. The catch is the single user: the day you add a helper who needs a login, you're on Starter at $29.
A four-person crew doing 120 new jobs a month is on Growing at $79. Add a fifth tech, a sixth, a seventh, and it's still $79. Headcount never moves the price, which is why ServiceM8 tends to beat per-user software as a crew grows. Our ServiceM8 vs Tradify comparison works that maths through against a per-user tool.
An HVAC company with eight techs, 250 new jobs a month and 150 maintenance visits generated by Recurring Jobs is at 400 credits, so Premium at $149. Premium also brings Job Profitability, which a business that size usually wants anyway.
Ways to pay less in your first year
The new business special. ServiceM8 gives 50% off your first 12 months if your business is less than two years old. You email their support team a registration document showing the business name and the date, and they apply it to the account. It can be claimed once per business.
A partner link. Signing up through a ServiceM8 Certified Partner gets you 30% off your first 6 months. Ours is here, and it's the same ServiceM8 at a lower price.
The free trial. Every feature is open during the 14-day trial and no card is needed, so you can check your real job count and which features you use before you pick a plan.
Does the price include the Android app?
Yes. Since ServiceM8 15, released in September 2026, the Android app is the full app, replacing the older Lite version, and it's included on every plan like the iPhone app. ServiceM8 names four things Android still lacks against iOS: Room Scan and AR, drawing diagrams, PDF editing and filling, and full in-camera photo tagging.
The FAQ on ServiceM8's pricing page still describes the Lite app, and some pricing write-ups still tell you the full app is iPhone-only. That stopped being true with version 15.
What setup costs, separately
ServiceM8's subscription covers the software. Getting it configured for how your business runs is a separate cost, and you can do it yourself from ServiceM8's help resources or pay a partner to set up your account, templates, forms and training.
Whether a partner is worth paying for depends mostly on how much you're moving in: a price list, a client list, recurring agreements, an accounting file that has to sync cleanly. Our ServiceM8 setup and training is quoted as a fixed fee, and this setup checklist is a good way to see how much of the work you could do yourself first.
Common questions
How much does ServiceM8 cost per month?
ServiceM8 has five plans in 2026: Free at $0, Starter at $29, Growing at $79, Premium at $149 and Premium Plus at $349 a month. The numbers are the same in Canada and the US, billed in CAD in Canada and USD in the US.
Does ServiceM8 charge per user?
No. Every paid plan includes unlimited users. The Free plan is the only one limited to a single user. What sets your plan is how many new jobs you create each month.
What happens if I go over my ServiceM8 job limit?
You can keep creating jobs and working as normal for another 7 days. If your monthly plan resets inside that window your job credits reset with it; if it doesn't, ServiceM8 prompts you to upgrade.
Does a quote use up a ServiceM8 job credit?
Yes. Every new job card uses a credit, and a job can start as a Quote or a Work Order. When an accepted quote is changed to a Work Order it doesn't use a second credit.
Is there a discount on ServiceM8?
Two. ServiceM8 gives 50% off the first 12 months to businesses less than two years old, with proof of registration. Signing up through a Certified Partner's link also gets you 30% off your first 6 months.
